DESCRIPTION: Wart-like pustules found on the upper surface of the host plants leaves. Sometimes these growths can be very numerous with a single leaflet carrying at least a couple of hundred galls. Each gall is orange to deep red in colour and is 1 to 2mm wide. On the lower surface there is a greenish cone -like projection from each gall measuring 2 to 4mm in length. DISTRIBUTION: So common that in some areas every plant is infested with galls. HABITAT: On leaves of Meadowsweet.
